Peaberries are a naturally occurring mutation of the coffee cherry that creates a rounder, smaller seed within the cherry- instead of the usual two seeds with a flat side that grow pressed against each other. Peaberries are a rare specialty of Tanzania and are prized for their complex and bright flavors.
We selected Tanzania as our spring single-origin due to its limited availability on the market, unique botany, and outstanding flavor profile. It's perfect for fans of our Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea roasts; and a tasting adventure for those wanting to expand their palate. With notes of dried fruit, spices, and a winey acidity to finish; this coffee is best served as a pour over with a 13:1 ratio or a drip coffee with a 15:1 ratio.
